President’s Message

Welcome to SCDSB and the Simcoe County Elementary Teachers’ Federation. My name is Donnie Mills, and I am your union President. I have been a Released Officer since 2017 and have proudly served as President since 2021. I am here to answer your questions and support you, no matter the concern.  I can be reached at [email protected] or for more time-sensitive or urgent matters; my cell phone is always with me at 705-716-3320.  

The Simcoe County Elementary Teachers’ Federation (SCETF) represents over 2500 elementary contract teachers at 94 worksites throughout Simcoe County, and all your Released Officers (Jen Klaassen, Jason Durance, Amy Stepanek, and Monica Goodfellow) are here for all of you.  

I am proud to be a teacher and proud to be your President. Together, alongside our ETFO colleagues from the Simcoe DECEs and Simcoe County Elementary Occasional Teachers, we are ETFO.  Your Union is your most accurate and reliable source of information about your rights and responsibilities under the Collective Agreement and your working conditions. We are your safety net, and we are here for you when you need us.
