March Break #RedForEd

During what was supposed to be March Break,  SCETF members and all education workers are encouraged to wear #RedforEd. March 15th – 19th.

Across North America #RedforEd has become a symbol of solidarity amongst education workers. In Ontario, this symbol demonstrates the unity of all education workers in opposition to the actions and inactions of the Ford Government.

The Ford Government is in need of a reminder that teachers are united in opposition to his government’s handling of public education throughout the pandemic.

We invite all members to share their actions though out the week using any of the hashtags below.

 #SCETF  #OntEd  # #OntEdReality  #RedForPUBLICed   #OnPoli

To help promote this action, and to continue our support for our communities, SCETF will donate a total of $1000 to member-selected charities.

To have your charity selected, use this http://bit.ly/ReportRedForEd form  to report your #RedforEd action.  Actions include contacting your MPP, visiting www.buildingbetterschools.ca , wearing RedForEd, contacting Doug Ford and Steven Lecce, etc.  Each week, for 4 weeks starting March 19, SCETF will draw five names from the reported actions and will make a $50 donation to the charity of choice in the name of the selected SCETF members.
