Health & Safety and Return to School Concerns

With the return to school on Monday, I know that everyone has many health and safety concerns. I want to assure you that we have been advocating on your behalf. We have been addressing system wide concerns with the Board surrounding PPE, HEPA units, staffrooms, access to testing, cohorting, lack of contact tracing, confusion surrounding the screening tool and inevitable staffing shortages. We will continue to address your concerns on each day. If you have specific health and safety concerns at your workplace, please address them to your Administrator so that they have an opportunity to attempt to resolve them. The SCDSB Health and Safety concern report is also an important tool that can be used to identify concerns. It is located on the SCDSB website under the Health and Safety tab. If you have any health and safety questions, please feel free to call me at the office (705-728-2888) or send me an email
