A budget is finalized with the majority support of the SCETF Executive and then the general members at the Fall General meeting. All financial transactions occur within the parameters of the budget. The disbursement of cheques requires the co-signing of all cheques by two of the signing Officers (either the Treasurer, President, 1st Vice-President).
Monthly financial reports are presented and filed with the Union Executive. The financial status is also presented to the general members a minimum of three times a year.
Through careful organization, I have enjoyed fulfilling this role for the last several years. The Treasurer role allows me the opportunity to participate in the decision making and planning for all SCETF members.
